The Letter-Sound Matching Game is designed to help emerging readers develop an understanding of letter-sound correspondence by matching letters with initial sounds in pictures and words. The set includes a letter, picture, and word card for each letter, so students can use different card combinations to play as they become more advanced in their reading skills. There are additional cards for long-vowel sounds and soft C and G. The game is ideal as an enrichment activity and can be played individually or with groups of two to four players.
